2024 Christmas & 2025 Year of the Snake New Year Performance Recap

Amid the warm summer of the Southern Hemisphere, the chimes of Christmas bells harmonized with the arrival of the Year of the Snake. Mulan Dance teachers and students were honored to participate in nearly 10 performances during the festive season. With their exquisite dance skills and confident stage presence, both the young students and teachers shone brightly. They not only delivered a captivating audio-visual experience to the audience but also showcased the beauty of Chinese culture to an international audience.

On December 29, 2024, Elaine from Mulan Dance was invited to perform at the Christmas Cultural Festival charity event hosted by Nanshan Temple. With grace and confidence, she presented the Chinese classical long sleeve solo dance, "Vermilion in the Spring and Autumn Period". This marked the opening act of the 2024 farewell-to-the-old and welcome-to-the-new celebration!

On January 29, 2025, the first day of the Year of the Snake, Mulan Dance teachers and students were honored to participate in the Year of the Snake Cultural Festival charity performance hosted by Nanshan Temple. They presented four captivating dance programs: "Big Fish and Begonia", "Galaxy Sigh", "Night Park at Qinhuai", and "Spring Is Not Late". Each movement of the students was executed with precision and grace, showcasing their dedication and talent. The mesmerizing performances earned enthusiastic applause and admiration from the audience, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

On January 30, 2025, the second day of the Lunar New Year in the Year of the Snake, Mulan Dance teachers and students were honored to be invited to the 2025 Australia-China Charity Chinese New Year Celebration, hosted by the Australian Charity Foundation at Sydney Town Hall. They took the stage together to present the event’s opening performance, "China Firecrackers", captivating the audience and earning continuous applause.

On January 30, 2025, the third day of the Lunar New Year in the Year of the Snake, Mulan Dance teachers and students were honored to perform at the Chinatown New Year Pop-Up Event, organized by the City of Sydney Council. Students delivered a breathtaking performance of the classical dance "Farewell Bridge," gracefully embodying the elegance and depth of Chinese classical culture through their poised movements and expressive eyes. Following this, the teachers captivated the audience with the vibrant Uyghur dance "Heart Bell," showcasing the energy and rich multicultural heritage of the Chinese nation. Visitors from around the world gathered in Sydney erupted in cheers, celebrating the beauty and artistry of our performances.

On February 8, 2025, Mulan Dance's award-winning performance, "Vermilion in the Spring and Autumn Period," was invited to grace the stage at the Year of the Snake Spectacular Show, hosted by the City of Sydney at Town Hall. The event drew thousands of spectators, many of whom were deeply moved by the elegance of Chinese dance and the richness of Chinese culture.
The young dancers captivated the audience with their extraordinary performance, earning thunderous applause and leaving a lasting impression of the beauty and depth of Chinese artistry.

On February 9, 2025, the two youngest classes of Mulan Dance were invited to perform at the Rhodes Community Multicultural Event, hosted by Canada Bay Council. Showcasing the group dances "Rouge Makeup" and "Guanghan Palace," these young dancers—averaging just five years old—took the stage with grace and confidence.
From an early age, they have been gaining valuable performance experience, and their adorable yet poised presence lit up the stage, radiating charm and enthusiasm.

On February 12, 2025, during the Lantern Festival, Mulan Dance was honored to perform at the Year of the Snake Alumni Celebration, hosted by the University of Sydney.
The teacher ensemble presented the captivating trio dance "China Together," mesmerizing the audience with their precise movements, exquisite technique, and flowing long fans. Their confident and graceful performance beautifully showcased the elegance of Chinese dance, igniting the atmosphere and leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

These performances not only offer Mulan Dance students invaluable stage experience but also highlight their vibrant spirit and exceptional artistic talent.
