Course Introduction

Our courses focus primarily on teaching Chinese classical dance and folk dance repertoires They include comprehensive instruction in folk dance grade examination, technical skills, tumbling skills, flexibility, and foundational techniques. Based on these, we have established a variety of classes to cater to different age groups and skill levels, including:

  • Orchid Class (Audition)

  • Jasmine Class (Audition)

  • Lily Class 

  • Cherry Blossom Class

  • Sunflower Class

  • Daisy Class 

 

Each class is thoughtfully designed to provide a tailored dance experience for children of different levels and ages.

Orchid Class

Friday 7:00-8:30 pm

Studio 2, Burwood
8-10 years (Audition Required)

 

As one of the premier classes at Mulan Dance, the Orchid Class boasts an exceptional foundation in dance and outstanding performance skills.

​

Representative works:

  • The Lantern Festival Night 

  • A Wonderful Night at the Museum

  • Vermilion in the Spring and Autumn Period 

​

These performances have achieved remarkable recognition, with [A Wonderful Night at the Museum] taking first place at the Australian Showcase Gold Coast Finals.

Jasmine Class

Saturday 6:15-7:45 pm

Alexandria Campus

9 -11 years  (Audition Required)

The Jasmine Dance class is one of the elite classes in Mulan Dance, known for its excellent technical skills. Notable achievements include their performance in [The Lantern Festival Night], a collaboration with the Zhilan Class.

​

Lily class

Tuesday 6:30-8:00 pm

Studio 2, Burwood Campus

6-8 years (with a basic dance foundation)

​

The Lily Class provides a strong foundation in dance and essential techniques, making it ideal for children with prior dance experience who have a passion for the art. The class focuses on building fundamental skills, enhancing flexibility, and preparing for rehearsals.

​

Currently, the Lily Class is rehearsing a new performance. We welcome new members to join us on this exciting Journey!

Cherry Blossom Class

Saturday 10:45-12:00 pm

5-6 years (with a basic dance foundation) 

 

The Cherry Blossom Class is part of our Level 2 program at Mulan Dance. The class focuses on learning dance repertoires and practicing essential skills.

 

We warmly welcome new students to join us and further develop their dance abilities in a supportive environment.

Sunflower Class

Saturday 4:45-6:15 pm

Alexandria Campus

Suitable for children aged 6-8 who have a certain dance foundation

The Sunflower Class, part of our Level 2 program, offers a strong foundation in dance and basic techniques. It is ideal for children with some prior dance experience who are passionate about improving their skills. Training focuses on core techniques, flexibility, and preparing for rehearsals.

​

Representative Works:

  • Farewell Bridge (In collaboration with Lily Class), which earned 2nd place in the Group category and the Silver Medal in the 3rd Chinese Dance Competition. 

​

Currently, the Sunflower Class is rehearsing a new performance. We welcome new members to join us on this exciting Journey!

Daisy Class

The Daisy Class at Mulan Dance is designed for children under 6 years old or those with no prior dance experience. This class is perfect for children of all ages who have a passion for Chinese dance. The curriculum focuses on building basic dance skills and preparing for ethnic and folk dance examinations.

Private 1v1 Lessons

We offer 1-on-1 solo dance lessons designed to nurture children's dance talent, improve body coordination, and boost self-confidence. Our professional dance instructors customize lessons based on each child's age and dance level, providing personalized guidance in various styles, including Chinese and modern dance.

 

In a relaxed and enjoyable environment, children are encouraged to express themselves, unleash their creativity, and discover the joy and beauty of dance.

Tumbling Technique Course

We offer specialized technical skills courses led by our professional gymnastics coach. In these classes, children will learn essential techniques such as cartwheels, handstands, front and back bridges, walkovers, and more.

Safety and personalized instruction are our top priorities. Our courses are thoughtfully designed to ensure that students can gradually master their skills in a secure environment while maintaining their health and well-being.

Online Stretching Course

Our courses offer foundational Chinese dance training, emphasizing the development of basic skills and techniques to enhance children's flexibility and overall dance abilities. Through professional instruction, students learn classic Chinese dance movements and techniques, which enrich their dance literacy.

 

Flexibility training is also integrated into the curriculum to improve body flexibility and expressive movement.
